We welcome you in the “Volkhov Bridge” River Club restaurant!

In the 19th century, the “Sosninskaya Pristan’“ estate (which is “dock” in Russian),
which inherited this name historically, belonged to merchants, brothers Tchupayev, and also
represented an important gateway for cargo, transported down the Volkhov river. Under
Peter the First’s rule there was cutted a swath between Saint-Petersburg and “Sosninskaya
Pristan’“, which later became the railway Nikolayevskaya to Moscow.
This peaceful picturesque spot on the left bank of the Volkhov river has always attracted
prominent personalities of Russian history and culture. These lands are associated with
A.Arakcheev, G.Derzhavin, M.Lermontov, N.Nekrassov, N.Roerich.
Today the “Volkhov Bridge” is a completely renovated up-to-date holiday center, with a very
special atmosphere of a river club.
Since the old days Volkhov river area is famous for its richness of fish. Rare specimens of
sheatfish, pike, asp are numerous there. At your choice an experienced huntsman will let
you know the places where fish is found in abundance or will accompany you during you
fishing. Fishing on the Volkhov river as well as the beauty of its surroundings won’t leave
indifferent, neither among novices, nor among experienced fishermen. Upon your desire, our
chief will cook your catch with refinement.
